This course is an introduction to programming using the Java programming language. This course not only prepares students for the Computer Science A AP exam, but also covers material typical of a first semester university level computer science course. Topics include introduction to computers and programming, control structures, functions, recursion and iteration, arrays, linear data structures, abstraction, classes and inheritance.
