As I approach my final year at Bellarmine and reflect upon my many positive experiences, my role as an Arrupe Ambassador immediately serves as one of my prouder accomplishments. With my personal longing towards service, the Arrupe Ambassador program has allowed me the opportunity to give back to our school, the communities we value so dearly, and helped me mature as a young man. Father Arrupe fearlessly echoed to his followers that being “Just, is not enough to refrain from injustice. One must go further and refuse to play its game.” Serving our extensive community in the name of Father Pedro Arrupe, in the Ambassador program, has allotted the ability for my fellow ambassadors and me to pursue an agenda of service, expand our faith, and tackle that extra step towards Father Arrupe’s image of fighting injustice as “men and women for and with others.”
