A total of 19 Bellarmine seniors were named among the 16,000 semifinalists in the 65th annual National Merit Scholarship Competition.  Those students are: Aditya Behal, Arnav Bhau , Anson Bridges, Tarun Chiruvolu, Akshaj Dwivedula, Justin Garlepp, James Garrow, John Gnibus, Jacob Gonzalez, Aditya Gupta, Yun Jae Kim, Anuj Kothari, Sherwin Lai, Marcus Ma, Tanay Menezes, Matthew Nazai, Shaan Patel, Matthew Phan, and Jay Vishwarupe.  To be considered for a Merit Scholarship® award, semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the Finalist level of the competition, according to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.  Over 90 percent of the Semifinalists nationally are expected to attain Finalist standing, and about half of the Finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship, earning the Merit Scholar® title next spring.  Congratulations to the semifinalists, many of whom are pictured here with president Chris Meyercord ’88 and principal Kristina Luscher.
