National Merit Scholarship Finalists

National Merit Scholars 2021

Several Bellarmine seniors who were among the National Merit® Scholarship Corporation’s (NMSC®) Semifinalists in the 67th annual National Merit Scholarship Program have all been named Finalists.

Congratulations to the following Bells: Jisang Ahn ‘22, Devansh Bansal ‘22, Saket Budhia ‘22, Nathan Kang ‘22, Minseo Kim ‘22, Christopher Lin ‘22, Michael Lutz ‘22, Samuel Perrott ‘22, Alexander Pham ‘22, Dhruv Rao ‘22, Keshav Singh ‘22, Nimai Talur ‘22, John Xu ‘22, and Miles T. Bryson ‘22.

These young men are among approximately 95 percent of the 16,000 Semifinalists who advanced to the Finalist level. According to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, all Merit Scholar® designees are chosen based on their abilities, accomplishments, and potential for success in rigorous college studies—without regard to gender, race, ethnic origin, religious preference, or family financial circumstances.

Of the 15,000 Finalists in the 2022 program, about half will win an award, and no student will receive more than one scholarship offer from NMSC.

In March 2022, NMSC will begin notifying scholarship winners, with confidential notification to their high schools. In mid-May 2022, NMSC will notify Finalists who have not received a National Merit Scholarship. However, a few additional scholarships may become available after this date and recipients of those awards will be notified during the summer.
