Artificial Intelligence Primer with Inspirit AI

Artificial intelligence is the defining technology of our times: in our voice-activated devices, smartphone face recognition systems, and autonomous vehicles. Students with diverse interests have the potential to apply this technology for social good in limitless ways.

Bellarmine is offering interdisciplinary, project-based artificial intelligence enrichment through Inspirit AI, an AI education program developed and taught by Stanford and MIT graduates starting January 29.

The co-ed evening classes provide students opportunities to explore the different applications of machine learning models and learn about how artificial intelligence can help us develop a deeper understanding of language, fight pandemics, power self-driving cars, and much more. Students in the program will also learn to program AI using Python, apply algorithms to real-world datasets, discuss AI ethics and applications, and complete an instructor-led group project applying AI to a discipline like music, healthcare, astrophysics finance, and others utilizing the programming skills they will develop in the course.

Classes will take place on the Bellarmine's campus on these dates:

High school (grades 9-12): January 29 - March 29 (Tuesdays and Thursdays, session times depend on track selected)

Inspirit’s AI practitioners and educators for the course will teach your students the necessary coding skills to be successful in the course; no prior experience is required. Some coding experience can be helpful. At the end of the course, family and friends will be invited to join a virtual poster session where students will be presenting their final projects for the course.
