Cross Country Bells Return to Competition

On Saturday, February 27, a group of Bellarmine College Prep students competed in an interscholastic athletic competition -- after numerous months of being unable to do so due to pandemic-related restrictions -- as six schools competed in a cross country race on a three-mile course at Dublin High School. Coach Patrick McCrystle noted experiencing “the palpable joy and relief and elation from them and their families as they cheered each other on and celebrated all three of our huge victories.” McCrystle also gave credit to “the amazing people who have been coaching this group of students in pods of 12+ for months on end: Kasey Monaco, Pat Arnold, Chris Meyercord, Tony Ferrari, Chris Cozort, Jimmy Kniffen, and John Maloney…but perhaps my biggest thanks goes to Louie Agelson, Mark Moreno, Colin Mello, Michael O’Shea, and Sergio Lamas, who have gone above and beyond to insure a safe but meaningful and challenging experience for all our students.”
