Bellarmine Sophomore Doing His Part During Coronavirus Pandemic

Mask Connections

Bellarmine student Nathan Su ’23 spent much of his summer connecting people who need face coverings with those who are donating them. Nathan and a friend started the website maskconnections.com to connect the community and his church family in Sunnyvale with protective masks, each of which is produced from surgical draping, are machine washable, and dry on medium.

“Our parents are healthcare providers, and have seen the impact of Covid-19 on their patients,” said the Bellarmine sophomore. “We know that wearing masks minimizes the spread of the virus.” Since launching the website, there have been many donations of masks that have been distributed to the community in Sunnyvale, and Nathan is actively looking to expand distribution to the wider community.

Our thanks to Nathan Su ’23 and all of the Bells who continuously live out the motto of being “for and with others.”
