Prerequisites: Student must be a baptized Catholic.
Course Description: A one-semester course designed for Catholic seniors who have freely chosen to prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation, which will be administered late in the second semester. The course begins with a focus on the individual person and his search for God and for meaning in his life. The student then examines the constituent parts of the Catholic tradition as found in Scripture, the sacraments, Church history, Church teachings, and the service of others. The content of the course is structured to assist the student in his personal decision to live out his faith. There will be many opportunities to do this through reflection papers, journal writing, different prayer experiences, and classroom discussion.
Comments: Senior elective. Application form required.
