President's Message
The history and legacy of Bellarmine is so enriched by its roots to St. Ignatius, by its tradition and commitment spanning 155 years, by the legacy its teachers and students have provided and by its push for the education of the full person and for the care of every student as an individual.
To accomplish this outstanding education demands the acquiring of necessary resources both in personnel and finance. Our administration strives each day to identify the best talent possible as we hire those who will instruct our students, counsel them and direct and coach their extracurriculars.
At the same time, we look for partners who will generously contribute the necessary financial resources that we need to sustain our first rate program. To you, our alumni, parents, past parents and friends, I thank you for your sacrifices.
There is nothing I believe as noble as training young minds and hearts to understand and embrace the self-discipline needed to acquire knowledge and insights into the fruits of God’s creation and to inculcate a deep desire to serve Him in a life defined by compassion, faith, integrity, competence and love.
May I encourage each and every one of you to be generous to Bellarmine as we continue to prepare young minds and hearts to confront the challenges of the 21st Century.
In that spirit I offer St. Ignatius's prayer for generosity:
Lord, teach me to be generous;
To serve you as you deserve,
To give and not count the cost,
To fight and not to heed the wounds,
To toil and not to ask for rest,
To labor and not to ask for any reward,
Except to know it is your will I am doing. Amen
