Pepperdine University: One of the most beautiful campuses in the world, if you like ocean views and Spanish renaissance buildings on a hillside in Malibu, 25 miles along the coast NW of Los Angeles. Founded and lives by the tenets of the Church of Christ, and Chapel is required. Students tend to be politically and socially conservative. 3000 Undergrads. Greeks and Athletics are big (4 men’s teams are nationally ranked.) Merit scholarships in the arts and debate. Study abroad programs are great.
