Sanguine Humours

Bellarmine's resident improvisational acting troupe, founded by theatre arts students in 1988, and named for the medieval humour in the body that controls cheerfulness and cleverness. Sanguine Humours consists of from 10 to 15 members and several women from local schools. Currently under the direction of Mr. Peter Canavese and Mr. Russ Marcel (both Sanguine founding members who have come back to Bellarmine as teachers and directors), the troupe puts on monthly lunchtime shows and one mainstage nighttime show per year. They have also performed at educational conferences, industrial shows, local schools and various charities.
