We firmly believe that the education that we offer to our students does not end when a student leaves the four walls of his classroom, but extends into every facet of activities in which our students are engaged. That is one of the fundamental reasons why we strongly encourage students to become involved in one or more of our 90 clubs or other activities.

Part of the experience at Bellarmine also consists of getting to know yourself and your peers better. That is part of the function of the Counseling and Diversity Departments. Bellarmine has 5 fulltime personal counselors who meet with their students regularly to help guide them through the challenges of high school. The Diversity Office offers programs and experiences which promote awareness, understanding and respect for the various cultures, religions, and backgrounds from which our students come.

Whatever your interests happen to be, you can be sure that there is probably a club at Bellarmine where you can pursue that interest on your own. If there's not, then starting a new club is easy, and can be a great way to make new friends at school.

Bellarmine also has a long and proud tradition of school spirit, as anyone who has attended a Bellarmine sporting event can attest. Whether it is through the enthusiastic support of the Yell Leaders, the students cheering wildly as the Bellarmine flag is waved in front of them, or cheering along with Bellarman, Bellarmine students are very proud of their school. It is difficult to capture in words just what this spirit is like, but being in the midst of it is certainly a big part of the brotherhood of Bellarmine.

Let’s remember today’s gospel and Jesus’ words to his disciples, and know that Jesus is calling us to GO, be with, and serve the hungry.
