We firmly believe that the education that we offer to our students does not end when a student leaves the four walls of his classroom, but extends into every facet of activities in which our students are engaged. That is one of the fundamental reasons why we strongly encourage students to become involved in one or more of our 90 clubs or other activities.

Part of the experience at Bellarmine also consists of getting to know yourself and your peers better. That is part of the function of the Counseling and Diversity Departments. Bellarmine has 5 fulltime personal counselors who meet with their students regularly to help guide them through the challenges of high school. The Diversity Office offers programs and experiences which promote awareness, understanding and respect for the various cultures, religions, and backgrounds from which our students come.

Whatever your interests happen to be, you can be sure that there is probably a club at Bellarmine where you can pursue that interest on your own. If there's not, then starting a new club is easy, and can be a great way to make new friends at school.

Bellarmine also has a long and proud tradition of school spirit, as anyone who has attended a Bellarmine sporting event can attest. Whether it is through the enthusiastic support of the Yell Leaders, the students cheering wildly as the Bellarmine flag is waved in front of them, or cheering along with Bellarman, Bellarmine students are very proud of their school. It is difficult to capture in words just what this spirit is like, but being in the midst of it is certainly a big part of the brotherhood of Bellarmine.

  • Robotics Featured at White House Science Fair

    Senior Eric Daniel Bakan and science instructor and Robotics co-chair Ann Roemer will represent our World Champion Robotics Team 254 at the 2nd White House Science Fair on February 7th. The event, hosted by President Obama, celebrates the student winners of a broad range of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) competitions from across the U.S.

  • Garden Club Receives Donation

    Zanker Disposal and Recycling Company (Z-Best Products), through the assistance of alumni Greg Ryan '88, and brothers Richard '61 and Barry Cristina '58, donated five cubic yards of organic recycled yard-waste compost to the Bellarmine Garden Club. The donation supports the club's philosophy to participate in renewal of the earth via recycling.

  • Coast Forensic Competition Results

    The Coast Forensic League's (CFL) Winter Individual Events and Super Debate were held at Milpitas High School on January 28th and 29th. The Bells fared well, taking 1st place in five speech events and 2nd place in six events. Additionally, seven individual debaters or teams finished their debate events undefeated after four rounds.

  • Rugby KOT Tournament Results

    Over 50 Bell ruggers travelled to Sacramento on January 29th for the 28th annual Youth Rugby Kick Off Tournament (KOT). Bellarmine entered teams into the Varsity Silver, Varsity Bronze and JV divisions of the tournament, which drew over 130 teams and 2500 students ages 10-19. The Bells took the Varsity Silver division title, with a 10-5 victory over the Sacramento Islanders.
