Summer Reading
In conjunction with the English department, the Library administers an exciting summer reading program for freshmen and sophomores. The purpose for the summer reading program is to encourage students to develop a life-long interest in reading for pleasure. The books included on the summer reading lists have been highly recommended for young adult readers. From a list of ten high-interest books, fiction and non-fiction, each student chooses to read three titles. He must write a report on each of the books he has read, and the pass/fail grade for the reports is included in the student’s first semester English grade.
