Financial Aid Info
The BCP College Counselors are available to assist families in seeking financial aid for college. Scholarships, grants, loans, and work study are all a part of the collegiate financial aid picture.
Scholarship Scams
Please be aware that companies may contact you to register (and pay for) information and scholarships. We strongly encourage you to avoid these opportunities as financial aid and scholarship information is available free of charge from the BCP College Counselors, and by using: www.FastWeb.com or www.finaid.org.
Events
Every December, we schedule a Senior Parent Financial Aid Evening. If your student is a senior, watch for information about this program and plan to attend.
We also hope next year to schedule an evening for Freshmen, Sophomore, and Junior parents to review the big picture of financial aid. Watch for information on this program.
Scholarships
The BCP Counselors receive information on an entire range of local and many nationwide scholarships available each year. Relevant notices for seniors come in during the Winter with due dates for applications typically falling in March, April, and May. We also maintain a file of scholarships in the College Center and post information regularly on our Naviance site and on bcp.org.
We encourage students to begin looking for national and international scholarships during their senior Summer. We recommend students use www.FastWeb.com or www.finaid.org to begin those searches.
Athletic Scholarships
Through the NCAA and NAIA, athletic scholarships are awarded in a variety of sports and on a variety of levels. We encourage you to review the General Information available to student athletes on the NCAA website. (Click here and go to The Guide section in the left hand column.)
