Wednesdays – The Dish, Portola Valley – walking shoes okay, paved, 4.5 miles - open to everyone

Thursdays – Los Gatos Creek Trail, Los Gatos – hiking boots recommended, steep, 9.7 miles - open to everyone

Fridays – The Dish, Portola Valley – same as above - open to everyone

Saturdays - The Dish, Portola Valley - same as above - open to everyone. For this hike, contact Suzanne Couch at scouch@bcp.org

Additionally, we participate in Osher (www.scu.edu/osher) hikes.  Osher is a group sponsored by Santa Clara University for life long learning (and fitness.)  Osher leads hikes in the Mid-Peninsula Open Space.  These are exercise hikes, not simply information hikes.

Need to know:

 Q. Are there fees to join this group?

A. No, however, there may be parking fees associated with some of the places we go.

Q.  How fit do I need to be?

A.  You should be in relatively good health.  Consult your doctor or one of us, if you have doubts after viewing the hikes via the web.

 Q.  Do I need any special equipment?

A.  You will feel more comfortable on some hikes wearing hiking boots.  Please be sure to wear a hat, sunscreen and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated.  Layered clothing is a good approach, particularly in the winter months.
