    When Viet Thanh Nguyen was a student at Bellarmine College Preparatory, from which he graduated in 1988, he found it challenging to fit in at a school whose student population at the time did not reflect much diversity. “I’m delighted that Bellarmine has transformed,” Nguyen told more than 1600 students, as well as faculty and staff, gathered for a justice summit assembly at the school the morning of October 18.

  • Bellarmine Robotics Team World Champions

    The Bellarmine College Preparatory FIRST Robotics Team 254, “The Cheesy Poofs,” claimed victory in the World Championships of Robotics, the third time the team has achieved the top prize in the past six years. The competition was held April 26 through 29 at the Edward Jones Dome at St. Louis, Missouri, with 36 Bellarmine students participating in the tournament.

    Bellarmine Honors Five Hall of Fame Inductees

    Bellarmine College Preparatory held its Hall of Fame ceremony the evening of April 1, recognizing five distinguished alumni.

    Those honored, and their respective categories, were: Michael Blach, Class of 1981 (Business); Anthony Saglimbeni, M.D., Class of 1981 (Science and Medicine); Fr. John Baumann, S.J., Class of 1956 (Public Service); Dave Gaggero, Class of 1994 (Athletics); and Viet Thanh Nguyen, Class of 1988 (Humanities and Fine Arts).
