  • Kevin Chang Qualifies for US Math Olympiad

    The road to the USA Mathematical Olympiad is not an easy one. It begins with the Mathematical Association of America's American Mathematics Competition 10/12 (AMC 10/12), followed by the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME), and finally an invitation to the USA Math Olympiad. Sixty-seven students participated in the first step of the process by taking the 64th Annual AMC 10/12 this past February. Individual results qualified six - Kevin Chang, Blake Chellew, Shreyan Jain, Binh-An Le, Austin Shin and Eric Wang - for the second in the series of tests, the AIME, in March, and resulted in one student, Kevin Chang, being invited to the national Olympiad.

  • Milan Ghambir

    Gambhir Receives Synopsys Science & Tech Grand Prize

    Sophomore Milan Gambhir was announced as one of eleven Grand Prize - Best of Championship winners of the 2014 Synopsys Silicon Valley Science and Technology Championship at the awards ceremony held April 6th. In total, 12 Bellarmine students received project awards at the ceremony, and five qualified for the 2014 California State Science Fair.

  • Impossible Hackathon

    Bells Join Impossible Hackathon

    Sophomores Samuel Buxton, Christopher Gibbons, Jeffery Kasle and Foster Westover took part in a unique venture this past weekend to design and build concepts for producing a "gift economy". The Impossible Hackathon celebrated the launch of new altruism-based social network, Impossible, and was sponsored in collaboration with the UC Berkeley Center for New Media.

  • Robotics Wins Canadian Regional FIRST Tournament

    Team 254 traveled to The University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, to compete against some of the best robotics teams in the world at the FIRST Robotics Waterloo Regional Competition on March 20 - 22. The Cheesy Poofs won the tournament with alliance partners, Teams 2056 and 865, and were recognized with the Quality Award and the Gracious Professionalism Award.

  • Track Teams Defeat Serra in WCAL Meet

    The Freshman/Sophomore and Varsity track teams soundly defeated the Serra Padres on March 26th at home. This was the second WCAL win of the season for the teams, each securing wins over Sacred Heart Cathedral the previous week.

  • Tennis Places Sixth at Natl High School Invitational

    The varsity tennis team traveled to Newport Beach in mid-March for the 15th Annual National High School Invitational. The Bells went 2-2, placing 6th against the top 16 teams in the nation. Adrian Chamdani '15 went undefeated and earned the top spot on the All-Tournament Team.

    San Miguel '17 Named to All Mercury Wrestling Team

    Freshman David San Miguel was named to the All Mercury News Wrestling Team. San Miguel, who wrestles at 138 pounds, took first place in his weight class in the Central Coast Section (CCS).
