  • Bells Qualify for State Speech and Debate Tournament

    Qualifiers for the state speech and debate tournament took place over the weekend at Leland High School, with public forum teams competing on February 27 and 28, and speech event participants vying for their state berth on February 28. Two of our public forum teams and 12 individual speech contestants qualified for the state tournament based upon their performances.

    Palomino Wins CCS Wrestling Title

    Sophomore wrestler Isaiah Palomino carried on a family tradition Saturday, February 28th, by winning the Central Coast Section (CCS) championship title at the 120-pound weight class. Team BCP took second place in the tournament with five placed finishes and four wrestlers qualifying for the state tournament.

    Soccer and Wrestling Earn WCAL Championship Titles

    It was a Bellarmine sweep for West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL) soccer, as the varsity, junior varsity and freshmen teams earned championship titles for the Winter 2015 season. Varsity wrestling also came out of league play on top, earning both the WCAL dual meet and tournament championship titles.

    The varsity and junior varsity quiz bowl teams competed in the Wildcat Classic on February 7 at Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon. Senior Jarek Jankowski and freshman Atul Saha finished in the top five of individual scorers at the varsity and junior varsity level respectively.
