Pravin Ravishanker '17 was recently named a 2017 US Presidential Scholar by the US Department of Education and the Commission on Presidential Scholars. He is one of 161 students from across the country to receive the award.

The US Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964, and recognizes the nation's most distinguised graduating seniors in education, the arts and career and technical education fields. Application to the program is by invitation only, and is based upon scholastic and/or artistic achievement, demonstrated leadership, community service, strong character and commitment to high ideals.

Scholars will convene in Washington, DC, in mid-June, where they will participate in National Recognition activities, have the opportunity to spend time with fellow Scholars - alumni and members of the Class of 2017 - and receive their awards.
