WCAL All-League Baseball, Golf & Volleyball Teams Announced

The West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL) announced their All-League teams for baseball, golf and volleyball, including center-fielder Connor Mack, who received top honors as Baseball Player of the Year.

Wade, S.J., chancellor of Bellarmine College Preparatory, its former president, and an alumnus of the all-boys Jesuit high school, is the recipient of an honorary doctorate degree from Santa Clara University (SCU), given to him at SCU’s 168th Commencement held on June 15, 2019. Friend and Bellarmine colleague, Rev. Richard Cobb, S.J., introduced the honor, with the degree conferred by Rev. Michael Engh, S.J., president of SCU.

  • Team 254 Reaches Finals of FIRST Championship

    Team 254, the Cheesy Poofs, spent the days leading up to spring break participating in the FIRST Championship in Houston, TX. After winning the Turing subdivision, the Poofs moved through round-robin matches to qualify for the championship game. Although they did not win the world championship this year (Team 254 holds four championship titles), the team put forth amazing effort, and represented Bellarmine well, displaying tremendous dedication and sportsmanship throughout the four-day tournament.
