Cross Country Takes 1st in CCS; 6th in State

The 2015 cross country season came to a very successful close with a 1st place finish in the Division 1 Central Coast Section (CCS) Championships and a 6th place finish in the Division 1 California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) State Championships.

The CCS championship meet was held on November 14 at Crystal Spring Cross Country Course. Sophomore Meika Beaudoin Rousseau earned a 2nd place finish in the reace, just 13 seconds behind the leader.

1st - BCP 29; 2nd - Palo Alto 65; 3rd - Homestead 88.

At the CIF meet, held on November 28 at Woodward Park in Fresno, the Bells ran the 4th fastest team time by a CCS school in the 29-year history of the state championships. It was the second fastest team time ever for BCP, trailing a record set by the 2010 squad by 19 seconds. The Bells executed the race according to plan and put forth an incredible effort, moving from 21st at the first mile mark, to 6th place - trailing by 114 points at the second mile mark, to a sixth place finish - trailing by only one point.

    Bellarmine proved its athleticism and depth, bringing home West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL) championship titles in golf, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, and volleyball. The performances of 33 Bells earned them positions on WCAL All League teams.

  • Team 254 Victorious at World Championships

    Robotics Team 254, The Cheesy Poofs, earned their fourth world championship title at the annual FIRST Championship held April 18-21 in Houston, Texas. With titles in 2011, 2014, 2017 and now 2018, their performance not only ties the world record for most championship titles, but caps the team’s undefeated season with a record of 53-0-0, making them the only team in FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) history to win every single match in a season.
