Posted: October 27, 2015

The Bells posted their tenth consecutive West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL) win against rival Saint Francis, with a 28-26 victory on Friday, October 23. It is the Bells' eleventh consecutive win against the Lancers, including post-season play.

With an intentional grounding call against Bellarmine and a touchdown, Saint Francis took an early nine-point lead in the game. The Bells rallied, making it onto the scoreboard with an 8-yard run by Devon Buenrostro. A Lancer field goal gave Saint Francis the edge, 7-12, at halftime.

The Bells took the lead in the second half - going 80 yards on their first possession, including a 22-yard run by Antonio Garcia - and maintained it throughout the remainder of the game. Kyle Macauley's 5-yard run increased our lead to 9 (21-12) and a spectacular 53-yard run by Buenrostro proved enough to keep the Lancers at bay. Cole Bunce did his part throughout the evening by securing the extra points on each of the four touchdowns.
