Ignatians for Haiti

Posted: May 21, 2012

Students, faculty and staff joined forces with Jesuit schools in Europe, Latin America and across the United States to raise funds for Ignacianos Por Haiti, a Jesuit campaign to improve education in Haiti. As a result of a collection of monies during one class period on May 3rd, in addition to a lunchtime sale of sausage sandwiches and chips, we raised $1467.

Ignatians for Haiti (www.ignatiansforhaiti.org) is a three-year aid campaign designed to strengthen Fe y Allegria Haiti, a Jesuit-Haitian organization that seeks to build more schools, train better teachers and provide more opportunities for schooling in a country where close to 60% of the population lives in poverty.

Our communities' response to the poor and vulnerable was wonderfully generous and we are thankful for the support.
