Bells Named to All-Bay Area News Group Basketball Team

Congratulations to Kiran Kruse '19 and Quinn Denker '20 who were recognized as being among the top basketball players from the East Bay, South Bay and Peninsula by the Mercury News.

Kiran was named Third Team all-Bay Area News, being cited for leading the Bells to their fourth consecutive appearance in the CCS Open Division championship game and a spot in the NorCal Division I playoff; averaging 16 points, six rebounds and four assists per game; and posting 23 points in a season-ending, double-overtime loss at Moreau Catholic.

Quinn received honorable mention accolades.

    Team 254, the Cheesy Poofs, spent the days leading up to spring break participating in the FIRST Championship in Houston, TX. After winning the Turing subdivision, the Poofs moved through round-robin matches to qualify for the championship game. Although they did not win the world championship this year (Team 254 holds four championship titles), the team put forth amazing effort, and represented Bellarmine well, displaying tremendous dedication and sportsmanship throughout the four-day tournament.

  • K-Bell Turns 35

    The 35th annual Kiwanis-Bellarmine track meet, i.e., K-Bell, was held on March 9th at Westmont High School. The joint venture between Bellarmine and the Kiwanis Club of West San Jose has become one of the premiere track and field events in the area, the proceeds of which go entirely to charity.
