Even a cursory glance at Bellarmine's mission statement makes it apparent that the school's purpose extends beyond merely preparing our students for college. We seek to help form young men of conscience, competence, and compassion — men for others.

The responsibility for this work extends into every corner of Bellarmine's campus. Two particularly important areas where this work takes place are in the offices of Campus Ministry and Christian Service.

The Christian Service department coordinates the remarkable amount of service work in which Bellarmine's students are involved. Each year, students collectively complete more than 30,000 hours of service not only in the neighborhoods in which our students live, but also extending into Latin America via Bellarmine's extensive Immersion Program.

The Campus Ministry team coordinates a number of different programs on and off campus, including a retreat program that spans from freshmen to senior years, daily and monthly Masses on campus, various Christian Life Communities and prayer groups, and personal spiritual direction for students.
