Retreat Experiences
These are an essential part of developing young men to be reflective, thoughtful believers. Taking time from the routine of the day and from the busy-ness of life helps students to gain perspective and to evaluate priorities. Retreat experiences invite adult and student leaders.

Freshman Retreat
This mandatory Saturday retreat welcomes the freshman class to the Bellarmine community and introduces them to the spiritual life of the school. Freshman gather with other members of their class, upperclassmen serving as big brothers, and teachers for a variety of activities including liturgy, prayer, reflection, discussion, hospitality and social activity.

Sophomore Overnight Leadership Retreat
Based upon teacher recommendations, students are invited to develop leadership skills modeled after the life of Jesus.

Personal Spiritual Director
A student has the opportunity to meet regularly with a spiritual director who can help him to see how God is leading him and how he is responding.

Father-Senior Retreat
With recognition of God’s presence, this annual weekend is a time of deepening the bond of love between father and son. There is time for sharing, prayer and relaxation.

Mother-Junior Son Retreat
With recognition of God’s presence, this annual weekend is a time for deepening the bond of love between mother and son. There is time for sharing, prayer and relaxation.

Kairos
This four-day retreat is an opportunity for Juniors and Seniors to reflect on self and relationships with God, family, and friends. Through the experience of group discussion, prayer, and Sacraments, students are helped to see life in a new way, and more fully appreciate the remaining days of high school and the years ahead.

The 4th Day Retreat for Seniors
Students are affirmed in their giftedness. They are given the opportunity to further explore their relationship with God and others, challenged to recall the life lessons of high school, and asked to consider how they can build on all of these lessons for the future. This is a great follow-up for the Kairos Retreat.
