Facilities
Bellarmine is very proud to be home to some of the finest athletic facilities around, with many programs enjoying recent and significant improvements. In the summer of 2007, Bellarmine’s Ghiorso Football Field wase replaced with artificial turf, and the track was also re-surfaced. During the summer of 2006, the soccer/lacrosse field and a portion of the Bob Fatjo Baseball Field were replaced with artificial turf, which enables these teams to play on an even, reliable surface, regardless of weather conditions. The summer of 2005 saw the opening of the Emory Fitness Center, which provides an ideal venue in which Bellarmine’s wrestling program is able to practice.
The Wayne Valley Memorial Gymnasium is the largest facility of its kind in the league, and provides a terrific environment in which to host competition for Bellarmine’s basketball, volleyball, and wrestling teams. Bellarmine’s Malloy Aquatics Complex was also built in the past ten years, and provide an excellent venue to host Bellarmine’s championship Water Polo and Swimming and Diving teams. The tennis and golf teams play off campus at nearby facilities. Golf team members enjoy the opportunity to play at some of the finest courses in Northern California.
