Shadow Program

Bellarmine’s Shadow Program is a terrific way for 8th grade students to get an inside and accurate look of what it is really like to be a Bellarmine student.

Current Bellarmine students lead their 8th grade shadows around for the morning. Admissions representatives are available to answer your questions during the day, and the program concludes just before lunch. We do our best to match you up with a student who has similar interests. Students tell us year after year that this was the best way for them to get to know Bellarmine.

The program runs from October through the end of January.

2007-08 SHADOW PROGRAM

The Bellarmine Shadow Program is available to 8th grade students. Shadowing is not a mandatory part of the application process, but it is a great opportunity to spend some time on our campus in the company of a Bellarmine student.

Please register for a shadow visit by clicking on one of the dates listed on the right and providing the information requested.

A few notes about your Shadow Day:

1. 8th Graders meet the Assistant Director of Admissions at 7:45 a.m. in the Liccardo Student Center, next to our Chapel. Directions are provided below. Juice and donuts will be served.
2. 8th Graders will visit 4 classes with their Guides. At 10:00 there will be a 15 minute break, at which time a snack will be provided. The day ends at 12:05 in the Liccardo Student Center.
3. 8th Graders may bring pen and paper to take notes, and/or a backpack.
4. If an 8th Grader attends a school that requires wearing a uniform, he does NOT need to wear it at Bellarmine. Students may wear appropriate free dress (no tears/holes in clothing, no inappropriate wording on shirt).
5. NO SHADOW DAYS ARE SCHEDULED ON MONDAYS OR FRIDAYS.

STUDENT DROP OFF: From Hedding Street (going towards Coleman Avenue and Guadalupe Parkway), turn right on
ELM Street (you can only turn right on Elm, it is right before the overpass). Turn into the parking lot on the LEFT, drive
forward a little and you'll see a walkway - this is where students are to be dropped off. Have your son walk to the end of the walkway and he'll see our Chapel on the right, and the Liccardo Student Center on the left.
