Tuition for 2017-2018 is $20,350 per student, which includes a $1,500 non-refundable deposit. Each student is required to pay a limited loss and damage fee for his tablet device in addition to tuition. Textbooks and other fees are educational expenses and are not included in the tuition. Program and co-curricular selections will determine the cost of books and other fees. The non-refundable deposit secures your son's enrollment to Bellarmine, although final enrollment status is granted pending grades or other concerns as identified by the Principal.
The deposit is due by:
- March 30, 2017 - for incoming freshmen
- May 11, 2017 - for returning students
- May 26, 2017 - for transfer students
Bellarmine offers three tuition payment plans that are managed through Smart Tuition - one payment, two payments or eleven monthly payments.
The Financial Aid process is completely separate from the admissions process. The Admissions Committee evaluation is based solely on your son’s qualifications - not on financial need. Aid is granted purely on the basis of financial need, with the amount of the award being dependent upon the resources available. Current Bellarmine families have priority over incoming new students. Although the school is committed to helping families, Bellarmine can only award financial aid to the extent resources are available. Not all students who qualify may receive financial assistance
Bellarmine has proudly been able to increase its Financial Aid Endowment Fund year to year. The earnings from this fund, contributions to Direct Financial Aid, and substantial contributions from the Jesuit Community work together to make a Bellarmine education a possibility for many students.
Each student receiving financial aid is expected to contribute positively to the school community and demonstrate positive social behavior. Additionally, students must maintain an acceptable academic standard, i.e., they must receive a passing grade in each subject at the end of each semester. Grants are subject to review on academic grounds at the conclusion of each semester.
Students receiving tuition assistance will also be asked to write a letter of thanks to a donor whose gift has helped to make Bellarmine’s Financial Aid program possible. The Office of Advancement will contact students during the latter part of the school year with specifics (guidelines, donor name, deadline for completion).
As part of Bellarmine's fiduciary responsibility to our benefactors, families receiving financial aid could be selected for financial aid review during the year. If you are contacted, you will be asked to provide additional documentation or answer additional questions.
Our Work Grant Program
Our Financial Aid program includes a work grant component that requires each student who receives assistance to work at the school for a total of 20 hours. Examples of Work Grant opportunities include, but are not limited to working at school-sponsored events such as dances/proms, the Mothers' Guild Fashion Show, the Golden Bell Auction and evening dinners on campus. Work grant responsibilities can be scheduled in such a way that they will not interfere with normal school and co-curricular activities. Students who fail to complete assigned Work Grant hours may be penalized up to $2,000.
