Timeline
August: Keep in mind that Bellarmine looks at both 7th and 8th grade report cards (including conduct and effort) when making admissions decisions, so now is the time to set yourself on the right path toward high school. Work hard and do your best in all of your classes.
September and October: Attend one of the high school information nights we offer. These nights offer you a chance to learn about Bellarmine (and a couple of other high schools) so that you can start thinking about where you want to go to high school.
October-January (8th graders only): Schedule a shadow day at Bellarmine to see what it’s like to be a student here at BCP. You’ll hang out with one of our hand-picked shadow guides, see a few classes, and get a sense of the Bell brotherhood that exists.
November: Join us for Open House so that you can get a feel for the campus, the students, and faculty who make up the Bellarmine community. You don’t need to make a reservation, so bring your parents and check out what we have to offer.
December: Make sure you have signed up for the High School Placement Test (HSPT) which is given in January.Bellarmine does not care where you take the exam, but just remember you can take the exam only one time. Also, Financial Aid applications are available from our Business Office on December 27th. Please contact Cindy Bailey in the Business Office at (408) 537-9223 to request an application.
January: Do your best on the HSPT and make sure your application file is completed by the 30th of January.
February: Remind your parents that Financial Aid applications are due on the 8th of February.
February-March: Wait and relax. You’ve done all you need to do. We’ll notify you if your file is missing anything.
March 14th: We mail letters with admissions decisions.
April 2nd: The deposit to reserve your place in the class is due.
