Bellarmine College Preparatory is a community of education and faith. We are inspired by the mission of Catholic education, the academic tradition of Jesuit schools, the Ignatian spiritual charism, and Jesus’ call to love and serve others in justice, peace, and joy.
Our student community is comprised of 1600 students from an extensive geographic area - north to Burlingame and San Francisco, south to Watsonville and Gilroy, east to Fremont and Livermore and west to Scotts Valley and Santa Cruz. Our students represent varied ethnicities and interests, yet share a desire to cultivate their talents and use them for the service of others - to be a part of Bellarmine's tradition of educational excellence and brotherhood.
Our parents bring a commitment to the school community which is unparalleled. Not only do our parents work in communion with the school to foster their own son's development as a man of competence, conscience and compassion - a "Man for Others", they champion the same for all students through their support of school initiatives and events. Bellarmine recognizes parents as their son's first educators, acknowledges this partnership as integral to the work they do and proffers the opportunity for parents to enjoy a strong rapport and high level of coummunication with their son's teachers.
Our talented and dedicated faculty and staff are one of Bellarmine's finest resources. Both groups truly believe in the value of a Jesuit education and are deeply committed to the work they do. With nearly 30 percent of our faculty and staff having earned a degree at a Jesuit college or university, there is a heightened sense of honor on campus in educating the whole student - mind, spirit, heart, body and imagination.
