Presented in conjunction with BCP's Summit on Human Dignity and Social Justice, Rebecca Gilman's play mirrors the self-reflective challenges of our school's year-long examination of race. At a small liberal-arts college in Vermont, a series of hate crimes sparks an unavoidable discussion about overt, covert, and even unconscious racial discrimination. The crisis forces Dean of Students Sarah Daniels to confront individual and institutional racism that hit more than close to home. Each performance will culminate in an audience discussion.
